Self-cleaning textile technology developed for the US Army is becoming a reality

We have been developing a self-cleaning technology for textiles for several years, solving a problem posed by the Army to make a self-cleaning uniform for soldiers. Through that effort we have developed a coating that resists soiling by water and oil-based fluids, resulting in a superhydrophobic and oleophobic fabric.

In order to bring the technology to market, we established an exclusive licensing agreement with UltraTech International to commercialize the technology under the brand name Ultra-Ever Shield…
