Photocell (CdS) Photoresistors, Light Dependent Resistors (LDR)

Advanced Photonix Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) photocell Ligh Dependent Resistor (LDR) technology is used in various applications for the detection and characterization of flame, in oil and gas burners, optocouplers for electrical isolation and audio applications, as well as general lighting detection for street lighting and cell phones.


Avalanche Photodiodes

Advanced Photonix LAAPD series has the largest active area Avalanche Photodiodes (APD) in the industry with up to 16mm active area diameter. The Deep UV patented devices operate up to 2000V with gains of up to 300. With extremely low noise & high stable gain, these LAAPDs can sense light down to 120nm with 120% quantum efficiency. These 16mm active area devices are available with three different performances. They are available non-cooled or windowless in an SHV package.


Multi-Element Photodiodes

Advanced Photonix specializes in the design and manufacture of custom photodiode linear arrays. By combining multiple elements into various configurations, photodetector arrays offer enhanced detection performance for applications such as scanning, process monitoring, low-resolution imaging, liquid-level sensing, missile guidance, and many others.
