Abstract
A Rayleigh scatter-based distributed measurement technique is presented in which strain and temperature discrimination is achieved using standard polarization maintaining fiber as the sensor. High-sensitivity Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometry is used to measure the scatter. Â Â
